I created this blog apart from my current blog I Ate Skinny because it's a project of mine. I used to write a bit, but I stopped years ago. I wrote some poetry, a few short stories, and I absolutely rocked essays in high school. English was my shit. Give me a topic I'm passionate about and I can write for days. During the last quarter of my senior year we had one assignment that we were allowed to focus on all quarter. We had to write a ten page paper on any subject matter we chose, and I chose to write mine on serial killers. I'm fascinated with them, I don't understand how somebody could get pleasure out of taking someones life when I feel bad about hitting a bunny with my car. I digress though. I used to write a lot, and then I stopped. I blog over at I Ate Skinny, but that's more about my life and I didn't want to clutter it up with creative writing when I'm wanting to leave that space for my personal life and my journey through weight loss surgery. I erased over four hundred posts that didn't really say anything from that blog due to poor writing and not actually saying anything.
Now for the project part of this blog. You see, I have a book. This book is called 642 Things to Write About. I have come to the conclusion that I would both like to get back into writing, and improve my writing. Thus this blog. I'm going to post almost every day going through the book topic by topic. I'll be doing the book in order, never skipping a topic. Some of them are creative writing, some are about memories, some are personal, some are silly. I'll be writing about all of them to truly find my writing style. Some of the prompts will be extremely easy to write about and some of them will be ridiculously hard, but I'm ridiculously excited about it nonetheless.
I'm pretty excited to start on this writers journey. I ask that if you like something I write, tell me. And if you hate it, keep your trap shut. Just kidding. I'd actually like to know if you don't like something as well, constructive criticism is always helpful. Just don't be a jerkface about it. "YOU SUCK I HATE YOU." is not helpful in the whole improving my writing thing. If you want to actually follow this blog, I don't know what to tell you other than bookmark this ish. I don't know how to make the follow thing like on my other blog, and frankly this blog is more for me and my writing abilities than for followers. So yeah, you get to figure that part out on your own. I could never be an author because I'm bad at ending things, so you know. The End.
